Udupi’s Answer for Somashekar panel report on church attacks

More Than three thousand people joined the protest against the report which was injustice to the catholics .  A mass  rally was organised Starting  at Jodukatte near big bazzar udupi till DC office covering up 2.7 Km .People from all over udupi have actively taken part in the rally .NEar DC office udupi stage function was held 2 main cheif guest were present on the dias one was Justice Saldana and  david simon from  bijapur were present .justice saldana openly condemed the report saying "the report was not even worth of the paper which was writen"(the comitte had spend nearly 11crore on the report).He had also written his own report on the matter of church attack on his own expenses which he will present it to the president shortly.Almost all the dignitaries on the dias condemned the clean chit given to the Bajarangadal .

Udyavara: ICYM, YCS celebrate annual day.

Udyavara, January 20: The Indian Catholic Youth Moment (ICYM) and Young Christian Students (YCS) units of Udyavar parish celebrated their annual day at Udyavara St Francis Xavier Church grounds recently.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme Fr Roshan D’Souza said, ''Politics is common in every youth association, but we should make sure that it should be used for the best purpose”

He said, “We should be smart enough to tackle all the problems of life and should become role models for others “

The Animators of ICYM John Gomes, Michal D’souza and Urban were felicitated for their service and for helping the youth in all their activities, followed by a prize distribution ceremony of the activities held in the parish. A cultural programme was also organized by ICYM and YCS members.

Among the dignitaries Fr Roshan D’Souza, Fr Charles Noronha, Fr Anil D Almeida, Gerald Pereira from the Udyavarites Association Gulf, John D’Souza, Lawrence D’Sa, ICYM President Silvan Crasto and YCS president Anusha Machado were present on the occasion.

A Konkani play ‘Kavlya Kudrachi Katha’ directed by Austin Machado was enacted by the members of ICYM and YCS.  Errol Gonsalves, Anil D’souza ,Teena Machando, Ajith Rebello played main characters in the play. The entire light and sound setup was managed by Ronil Sounds and Kala Arts.

More than 500 people attended the program. Rebecca, Rithesh and Errol Gonsalves compered the programme.
